Our engineers are creative thinkers, eager to roll up their sleeves and solve problems. They have the opportunity to work with the latest and greatest technologies and are expected to continuously develop and invent ways to improve current processes. They focus on efficiently making correct decisions of a time-critical nature. The culture is very fast paced and fast moving. Engineers at Amazon get a lot of work done in a short amount of time.

Our innovative Engineering departments design, implement, and maintain our fulfilment centres. This encompasses several different areas – process engineering, capacity/demand planning, material handling, equipment design and implementation, fulfilment centre project management, construction management, and packaging engineering. In turn, there’s opportunity for rapid professional growth.

Amazon is the perfect place to start your career in automation engineering maintenance. Due to our scale, we have an unrivalled range of equipment, technologies and facilities, so there are a huge variety of projects you can work on during the programme.

You will build your skills over a 48 month period - starting in September - that includes:

- Classroom based training hosted offsite,
- Amazon’s on-the-job training programme, delivered by our specialist teams, and
- Mentoring from our automation engineers.

Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organisation, prioritisation, data analysis and problem solving techniques, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.

Not only will you receive invaluable learning, development and professional experience, you also gain a number of externally recognised qualifications and your bachelor’s degree.
