The HR apprenticeship combines on-the-job learning with academic study. The purpose is to equip learners with the competencies needed to operate successfully in a role, or to prepare you for the next step on your career path within the HR function.

L3 programme

Apprentices will:

- Provide Associate support on HR related topics
- Execute employee administration (incl. Time and Attendance) ensuring that it is managed accurately and timely
- Collect and input data, provide metrics through reports to the HR and Operations leaders
- Support hiring initiatives including events, on-boarding and new hire orientation

During this 18-month apprenticeship you will work alongside our HR Associate Partners who are progressive, hands-on and customer obsessed front line HR representatives to the line operators (Associate) population in the Amazon Fulfillment Center, providing cover which is aligned with the Operations shift pattern. You will learn to be responsible for taking care and addressing associate queries, placing engagement with associates as your primary focus within a Fulfillment Center.

As you develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours you will become an integral part of the HR team, delivering the highest quality of service to our internal and external customers; ensuring associates are supported through effective query handling and problem solving, followed closely by a high level of process understanding and administrative support.

L5 programme

Apprentices will:
- Deliver HR solutions to business challenges,
- Provide tailored advice to the business in a number of key HR areas,
- Receive a comprehensive grounding across the whole range of HR disciplines, and
- Facilitate decision-making and recommendations to the business in relation to HR

The overall duration of the programme is 18-24 months depending on the programme you participate in and the pace of the individual learner. During the first 12 months, you'll attend a series of workshops and complete a written assignment after each, to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the topics covered.

You'll undertake a consultative project in the final three to four months. Work-based, the topic and scope of the project will be agreed with your training provider and Line Manager

After successful completion of the apprenticeship you can apply to become an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), a widely recognised professional accreditation.
