Are you eager to learn the ins and outs of maintaining a streamlined and precise finance function within one of the world's largest organisations?
As a Finance Apprentice, you take on the role of a Financial Analyst in one of Amazon’s many business areas, from AWS to Fresh, from Retail to Prime Video. Not only that, you rotate across 3 different roles over the 3 year apprenticeship (you'll also have an additional 6 months for end point assessment), and so gain experience from different areas across Accounting, Finance and Tax. Every role is different, but each one will require strong numerical skills and high attention to detail, which you’ll put into place in a fast-paced environment and working to deadlines. In order to explain complex topics to your business partners and stakeholders, good communication skills are also essential.

Qualification & LevelApprentices will gain the L7 Apprenticeship standard- Accountancy/ Taxation Professional Apprenticeship standard and certification from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
Weekly Working HoursApprentices will work a 40-hour working week Monday to Friday
Office TypeThe positions will be based in an office of the fulfilment centre or a corporate office
Training Breakdown

Apprentices will attend and complete modules in order to completing all Knowledge Skills behaviours culminating in an independent End Point Assessment.

The training is delivered in mix of remote and face to face sessions

Each week Apprentices will be allocated time away from their day-to-day roles to work on their Apprenticeship studies. You will spend approximately 80% of your working week learning from skilled members of the team whilst supporting learning on the job.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English Plus

3 A Levels BBC or equivalent

You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship

What are the core components of this apprenticeship?

During your apprenticeship, you will acquire valuable skills and knowledge, including:

Accounting Principles: Developing a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Learning how to create budgets and make financial forecasts.
Client Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.
Financial Analysis: Mastering the art of analysing financial data and making strategic decisions.
Financial Software Proficiency: Becoming proficient in using financial software and managing financial databases.
Regulatory Compliance: Understanding the legal and ethical aspects of accountancy to ensure you are acting in the public interest and maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and competency
Taxation: Gaining expertise in taxation and its impact on financial decision-making.

Game-based assessment
Complete a series of short game-based tasks designed to identify your strengths and assess your suitability for the role
Video Interview
Video interview to tell us about your background, motivations, knowledge, skills and interests
Virtual / Onsite Assessment Centre
Assessment centres include: a group exercise, presentation and individual interviews
Offer
If successful we will extend you and offer to join our programmes and our recruitment teams will send you a contract of employment
Onboarding process
Our recruitment teams will complete the necessary background checks, register you with the programme training provider and obtain any personal information needed to begin your employment
Start
You'll then be ready to join us on your Apprenticeship programme
