Why did you decide to do an Apprenticeship over going to University?

I decided to do an Apprenticeship because I was motivated to start my career in Digital Marketing. I wanted to learn how excel in a job role, both practically and academically while earning a salary. Having the opportunity to study towards a qualification whilst contributing in the workplace was an excellent way of gaining experience which accelerated my career development.

What attracted you to Amazon?
The Amazon Apprenticeship programme was enticing because it offered the opportunity to be a part of a multinational company, become qualified in a field I enjoy and progress within the business. I was excited to contribute in the workplace and execute important customer-facing projects that impacted both Amazon and our external customers. Amazon is a fast-paced organisation and there is so much to learn which makes every day different!

Where has your Apprenticeship led you?

I achieved a Distinction in my Digital Marketing qualification and progressed onto a Marketing Manager role in Amazon Music. The Apprenticeship scheme was a great pathway into my new role as I learned the fundamentals of Digital Marketing and experienced running my own campaigns from ideation to launch. I’m grateful to have had this opportunity which supported me in earning the full-time role I aspired to achieve following my graduation.
