As a Data Analyst Apprentice at Amazon, you’ll learn how to use data to answer questions, drive innovation, and shape real business outcomes.
You’ll collect, analyse, and interpret data to reveal patterns and opportunities - supporting teams across our corporate and operational environments. From designing dashboards to presenting insights, you’ll develop the technical and communication skills to turn complex information into meaningful stories that make a difference.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this apprenticeship, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older before the start date (September 2026)
  • Have lived in the UK or EEA for at least 3 years prior to the start date
  • Be a UK resident or have the right live and work in the UK for the entire duration of the programme
  • Not be registered on another government-funded course ending August 2026 or later
  • Hold 5 GCSEs (grades C/4 or above) including Maths and English

    Plus Hold one of the following:

  • 2 A Levels (grade C or above) in relevant subjects
  • Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • International Baccalaureate (Level 3)
  • BTEC Extended Diploma (similar subjects

You must not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship.

What you’ll do

Analyse patterns. Solve problems. Tell stories through data.

As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you’ll explore how data can answer key business questions and reveal new opportunities. You’ll learn to design and manage databases, apply data models, and create reports that help teams across Amazon make informed, customer-focused decisions.

You’ll gain experience in:

  • Data analysis and visualisation
  • Data modelling and interpretation
  • Data security, privacy, and ethics
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Communication and stakeholder collaboration
  • Learning and continuous development

You’ll combine classroom learning with real-world projects, balancing 20% of your time on formal study with 80% on-the-job training. Supported by your manager and mentors, you’ll gain practical experience using cutting-edge tools and techniques in a fast-paced environment.

Game-based assessment
Complete a series of interactive, game-style tasks designed to help us understand your natural strengths and thinking style. There are no right or wrong answers - just play instinctively. This helps us see how you approach problem-solving, decision-making, and learning in a fun, engaging way.

One-way video interview
Record a short video interview to tell us about your background, motivations, knowledge, skills, and interests.
Virtual Assessment Centre
Assessment centres include: a group exercise, presentation and individual interviews

Offer
If successful we will extend you an offer to join our programmes and our recruitment teams will send you a contract of employment
Onboarding process
Our recruitment teams will complete the necessary background checks, register you with the programme training provider and obtain any personal information needed to begin your employment
Start
You'll then be ready to join us on your Apprenticeship programme
