If you’re an analytically minded, problem solver with a keen interest in how data can be used to help businesses, then this might be the programme for you. Working with large amounts of data and information will require a good eye for detail, complete accuracy and the ability to manage workloads whilst prioritising tasks.
You’ll also need to be a strong communicator as you’ll be liaising and sharing your work with a variety of technical and non-technical teams, so you’ll need to be confident in adapting your communication style dependant on your listener. Data Analyst Apprentices will be based in either an office environment or in one of our busy logistical bases so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
What should my ambitions look like for this kind of a role?You should be interested in learning and becoming proficient in the use of technical tools and programmes relevant to data analysis for this programme. You’ll be excited at the prospect of learning the different stages of the data analysis lifecycle through requirement-gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data, with the goal of discovering useful information, solving problems and supporting the business to make informed decisions

As a Data Analyst, your role is to ascertain how data can be used in order to answer questions and solve problems. You will be responsible for requirement-gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making. You will need to have strong communication skills as you will be liaising and sharing your work with different stakeholders. You will also need a good eye for details as you will be working with a lot of data and information that requires accuracy when handling the workload.

|Required Skills & Qualifications|
At least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English plus any of the following:
You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship
Note: “Similar subject” relates to areas directly relevant to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects.

Upon successful completion of the Data Analyst Degree program an Apprentice will be able to apply for a promotion within a Data Analyst full time role or seek other opportunities globally across Amazon and AWS. You'll have the skills and knowledge to explore or progress towards various high-level roles in the data/technology sector, including:
