Would you like to provide advice, create a first class employee experience, and become a trusted advisor?

This role is suitable for someone who identifies as a people person and takes satisfaction from supporting and working with others. This role will often require you to make decisions and recommendations on what the business can or should do in a specific situation. You will be liaising and be influencing managers to change their thinking as well as bringing best practice into the organisation using company policy and current law giving guidance that is compliant and where errors could expose the organisation to employment tribunals or legal risk.

Qualification & LevelApprentices will gain the HR Consultant Partner L5 Apprenticeship standard and the CIPD Level 5 Certificate in People Management.
Working HoursApprentices will work a 40-hour working week (Monday - Friday)
Office TypeThe positions will be based in a corporate office.
Training Breakdown

Apprentices will complete a series of modules in order to gain the required Knowledge, Skills, and behaviours, culminating in an independent End Point Assessment.

The training is delivered in mix of remote and face-to-face sessions

Over the course of the apprenticeship, Apprentices will be allocated time away from their day-to-day roles to work on their Apprenticeship studies. Approximately 80% of time will be spent learning on-the-job.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English

You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this Apprenticeship

What are the core components of this apprenticeship?

During your apprenticeship, you will acquire valuable skills and knowledge, including:

Strategic HR Practices: Developing an understanding of strategic human resources practices, including workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
Employee Relations: Mastering the intricacies of employee relations, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive workplace environment.
Leadership and Management: Acquiring leadership and management skills to lead teams and drive organizational success.
Legal Compliance: Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations to maintain a fair and ethical workplace.
Data Analytics: Proficiency in HR data analysis and using insights to make informed decisions and improve HR strategies.
Diversity and Inclusion: Promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace, fostering a culture of belonging and equity.

Your journey as a People Professional Apprentice opens the door to a world of exciting career prospects. You'll have the skills and knowledge to explore or progress towards various high-level roles in the consulting and professional sector, including:

HR Manager; Talent Acquisition Manager; Organizational Development Specialist; Diversity and Inclusion Manager; HR Consultant; HR Business Partner; Learning and Development Manager; People manager.

Successful apprentices may also choose to progress on to a higher level qualification or vocationally related programmes.

Application Process and Timeline

Upload your CV, fill in your details, answer the eligibility questions and complete a short online assessment

(Applications for opportunities in our corporate side of the business open 11th December 2023)
(Applications for opportunities in the logistics side of the business, will open later in 2024)
Game-based assessment
You may be asked to complete a series of short game-based tasks designed to identify your strengths and assess your suitability for the role
Video Interview
Video interview to tell us about your background, motivations, knowledge, skills and interests
Virtual / Onsite Assessment Centre
Assessment centres include: a group exercise, presentation and individual interviews
If successful we will extend you and offer to join our programmes and our recruitment teams will send you a contract of employment
Onboarding process
Our recruitment teams will complete the necessary background checks, register you with the programme training provider and obtain any personal information needed to begin your employment
In-person Introductions
Ahead of starting with us, if you're role is based in a corporate office, you'll be invited to the Amazon building to get to meet the team and your cohort of apprentices.

For apprentices offered a role based in Manchester, the introduction session will be 27th June 2024.
For apprentices offered a role based in London, the introduction session will be 4th July 2024.
You'll then be ready to join us on your Apprenticeship programme
