Are you passionate about technology and eager to learn how to keep complex systems running smoothly?

Join us as an IT Support Apprentice and play a key role in maintaining the technology that powers Amazon’s operations.

In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced IT professionals to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient support across a range of hardware, software, and network systems. You’ll develop the skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, maintain critical infrastructure, and ensure our systems meet business needs - all while working towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship.

About the role

As an IT Support Apprentice, you’ll be based in one of Amazon’s UK fulfilment centres, working alongside experienced IT professionals to ensure our technology operates effectively every day.

You’ll gain experience in:

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across multiple platforms.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, servers, and network equipment.
  • Supporting end-users with hardware, software, and connectivity challenges.
  • Monitoring and maintaining system security and performance.
  • Collaborating with local and global IT teams on improvement projects.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same - you’ll learn how to keep complex systems running efficiently and develop real technical problem-solving skills in a fast-moving environment.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older before the start date (September 2026)
  • Have the right to live and work in England for the duration of the programme
  • Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years
  • Not be enrolled on another government-funded course ending August 2026 or later
  • Hold at least 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 (C) or above in any subject
  • Hold GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade 3 (D) or above
  • Not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level

Please note: you may occasionally need to travel to a training centre as part of your off-the-job learning.

  • Are keen to learn new skills and continuously develop
  • You don’t need prior IT experience - just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Career Progression

Upon completing your apprenticeship, you’ll be qualified for role IT Technician.

With experience, you can continue to progress into specialist or leadership roles across Amazon’s vast operations network, supporting innovation and reliability in our global technology systems.

If successful we will extend you an offer to join our programmes and our recruitment teams will send you a contract of employment
Onboarding process
Our recruitment teams will complete the necessary background checks, register you with the programme training provider and obtain any personal information needed to begin your employment
Start
You'll then be ready to join us on your Apprenticeship programme
