Hey there; STEM enthusiasts and curious minds! Lottie here again, reporting the fun and exciting opportunity I had attending the “Salon del Empleo” in sunny Zaragoza!
March 14th marked an interesting day as I delved into the vibrant atmosphere of this employment extravaganza, alongside members of the REM team and Spanish Apprenticeship Team. Let me take you through the highlights of our experience!
Our primary goal was to engage with over 2000 attendees and showcase the opportunities available through our apprenticeship program and current vacancies within RME.
The Amazon team, including Ángela López, Daniel Pinilla, Maria Rodal, Natalia Ordiz, Felipe Lugo and Marta Casasayas, worked tirelessly to promote our apprenticeship program and RME vacancies. Our stand emerged as one of the most active ones, attracting a diverse range of visitors, from young aspirants to professionals seeking a career change.
Visitors flocked to our booth, eager for insights into our work culture, the advanced technologies we employ in our fulfillment centers, and a glimpse into the day-to-day life of an apprentice at Amazon.
Ángela and I had the privilege of representing women in engineering, and it was fantastic to see such interest and enthusiasm in the subject. We proudly serving as ambassadors for diversity and inclusion in STEM fields, and received numerous inquiries about what a day in the life of a woman working in STEM entails.
With our Amazon colleagues’ support, we provided attendees with a clear picture of the opportunities and challenges within the realm of STEM, inspiring them to consider pursuing careers in this dynamic and rewarding field.
Overall, our experience at the “Salon del Empleo” was not only enriching but also reaffirmed our commitment to fostering talent and diversity in STEM. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers into our fold!
