Are you a creative person who can communicate effectively and is always focused on your audience?
The role is audience focused and requires creativity, communication and project management skills. You will learn to plan and execute tactical and targeted marketing activities. This role involves researching, developing, promoting and distributing, products or services through effective channels to engage with a range of target audiences. You will possess strong communication skills as well as a keen eye for detail and you will have good organisation and planning skills.

As a Marketing Apprentice in Swansea, we have three areas of specialism, each area can be summarised as follows:

- Visual content creation. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals to develop compelling marketing materials across various channels. You'll contribute to ambitious projects that drive growth through working on digital and print designs, basic animations, and motion graphics. It's an excellent platform to expand your skills in design, amination, and art direction while maintaining design systems and guidelines.

- Web design and conversion. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals to create high-performing websites for our ecommerce software, focusing on visually appealing designs, engaging copy, and effective conversion strategies. Working closely with marketing, product, and UX teams, you'll contribute to impactful projects that enhance online presence and business growth. It's an excellent opportunity to expand your skills in web design, copywriting, and conversion rate optimisation.

- Copywriter and Brand Communications. You'll collaborate with creative professionals to produce impactful content and communications for our ecommerce software, working closely with product, design, and demand generation teams. You'll contribute by writing engaging copy for various marketing materials, developing communication strategies, and contributing to the overall brand voice. It's an excellent platform to expand your copywriting, brand storytelling, and marketing communications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

For the apprenticeship programme we prioritise applicants eligible to Welsh  government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:

  • Be 18 years or over before the start date
  • Have the right to live and work in Wales (if you are on a visa, this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in Wales for the entire duration of the programme).
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of Wales for the entire duration of the programme
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending June 2025 or later
  • Have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English

PLEASE NOTE: This position is a 24 month fixed-term contract.

You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship

What are the core components of this apprenticeship?

During your apprenticeship, you will acquire valuable skills and knowledge, including:

Marketing Strategies: Learning to develop and implement effective multi-channel marketing strategies to promote products or services.
Audience Segmentation: Understanding how to identify and target specific audience segments through various marketing channels.
Content Creation: Developing skills in creating compelling and engaging content across different platforms to capture audience attention.
Analytics and Insights: Utilizing analytics tools to measure and analyse marketing campaign performance, extracting meaningful insights for optimization.
Digital Marketing Channels: Becoming proficient in utilizing various digital channels, such as social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
Brand Management: Learning to maintain and enhance brand identity across different marketing channels.

What will I learn as I progress through my course?

  • Conducting research to understand market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscapes.
  • Developing comprehensive marketing campaigns, considering both online and offline channels.
  • Utilizing data analytics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Effectively managing and optimizing social media profiles to enhance brand visibility.
  • Creating and managing email marketing campaigns to engage and nurture leads.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.

Complete a series of short game-based tasks designed to identify your strengths and assess your suitability for the role
Video Interview
Video interview to tell us about your background, motivations, knowledge, skills and interests
Virtual / Onsite Assessment Centre
Assessment centres include: a group exercise, presentation and individual interviews

(Assessment centres for this role are expected to take place between Feb - May 2025)
Offer
If successful we will extend you an offer to join our programmes and our recruitment teams will send you a contract of employment
Onboarding process
Our recruitment teams will complete the necessary background checks, register you with the programme training provider and obtain any personal information needed to begin your employment
Start
You'll then be ready to join us on your Apprenticeship programme
