Weekly Pattern | 40-hour working week which could include weekend and or night shift working. Typical shift patterns are Sunday to Wednesday days or nights and Wednesday to Saturday days or nights. |

Training Breakdown | The first 16 weeks of each year you will be full time residential (classroom training) at one of our training providers' facilities. As a result, you may be required to travel to the accommodation on a Sunday and to work away from home until Friday each week during term-time (costs will be supported by Amazon), combined with short periods working at one of our Fulfilment Centres/Sort Centres/Delivery Stations. Subsequent years will comprise on-the-job training in a Fulfilment Centre, while concurrently completing academic training. What will I learn as I progress through my course?
As a OEM apprentice, you will work in our Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) team and with one of our national engineering apprenticeship providers to build your engineering skills, knowledge and behaviours over a 3-year period.
Apprentices based in Ireland will spend the first 16 weeks of each year at a training centre. Working Monday to Friday each week, during your time at the training centre you will undertake a wide range of engineering skills in mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and controls disciplines, as well as commencing your academic studies. All travel, accommodation, and associated costs during this period of training will be covered by Amazon.
During the remainder of the year, you will be based at one of our facilities (fulfilment centre, sortation centre, or delivery station). Working alongside skilled engineers, you will put into practice the core skills that you have learned and build on these as you learn the role of a maintenance engineer at Amazon.

What are my career prospects after graduating?
After graduating you can expect to be offered a role as an Engineering Technician in one of our operations buildings. Many former apprentices are still with Amazon and have progressed into leadership roles within the business.
