As a Digital Product Manager Apprentice, you’ll be at the heart of product development - helping shape ideas, improve user experiences, and drive innovation across Amazon.
You’ll learn how to analyse user needs, prioritise features, support development teams, and use data to guide product decisions. Working alongside experienced product managers, designers, and engineers, you’ll gain the skills to help take products from concept to delivery.
About the role
As a Digital Product Manager Apprentice, you’ll work across a variety of digital products - from internal tools that power our operations to customer-facing experiences used by millions.
Your role sits at the crossroads of technology, design, and business strategy. You’ll help teams understand customer needs, define product goals, and track the success of the features you help deliver.
Depending on business needs, your placement could sit within teams such as Retail, Operations, Amazon Entertainment, Devices, or other digital-focused functions.
This apprenticeship gives you a unique opportunity to see how ideas become real products - and to contribute to meaningful improvements along the way.
You’ll support the full lifecycle of digital product development. A typical day might include:
- Gathering user insights and analysing market trends
- Supporting product discovery activities and contributing to product strategy
- Helping to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements
- Prioritising features and contributing to sprint planning
- Working with designers and engineers to bring new features to life
- Monitoring product metrics and evaluating performance
- Communicating updates to stakeholders and documenting progress
- Participating in agile ceremonies and supporting continuous improvement
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:
- Be 18 years old or over before the start date
- Have the right to live and work in England for the full duration
- Have lived in the UK or EEA for the past 3 years
- Not be enrolled on a government-funded course ending August 2026 or later
- Have 5 GCSEs at grade 4–9 (A–C) including English and Maths
- Have a Level 3 qualification (A Level, BTEC, Level 3 apprenticeship, or equivalent)
- Not already hold a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level
- Provide a UK ENIC Statement of Comparability (if qualifications were achieved overseas)

Apprentices often progress into roles such as Product Manager. With experience, some move into more specialist or senior positions, or continue their development through higher-level apprenticeships or professional training.
