Are you captivated by the dynamic world of broadcast media and eager to play a crucial role in delivering exceptional programming and content?

In this role, you'll be at the heart of supporting the delivery of our broadcast and communication services, ensuring that our studio and web-based operations run seamlessly without disruption to broadcasts. Working alongside seasoned broadcast professionals, you'll develop a deep understanding of the technical and operational aspects of this fast-paced industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications

For the apprenticeship programme we prioritise applicants eligible to government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:

  • Be 18 years or over before the start date
  • Have the right to live and work in England (if you are on a visa, this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in England for the entire duration of the programme).
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the programme
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending June 2025 or later
  • Have 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English

PLEASE NOTE: This position is a 18 month fixed-term contract.

You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship

What are the core components of this apprenticeship?

During your apprenticeship, you will acquire valuable skills and knowledge, including:

Media Asset Management: Utilising industry-specific software and tools to manage media and file assets, ensuring content integrity and security.
Broadcast Technical Operations: Preparing the technical assembly and set-up for broadcast and communications, including adding subtitles or audio descriptions, and assessing and manipulating audio and video contributions.
Transmission Monitoring: Monitoring and maintaining consistent transmission and broadcast in line with service-level agreements and organisational targets.
Fault Identification and Escalation: Identifying and troubleshooting technical faults, escalating issues to the appropriate personnel as required.

Please note: This role is primarily a support/administration/assistant role. You will not be involved directly in creating content for production.

Assessment centres include: a group exercise, presentation and individual interviews

(Assessment centres for this role are expected to take place between Feb - May 2025)
Offer
If successful we will extend you an offer to join our programmes and our recruitment teams will send you a contract of employment
Onboarding process
Our recruitment teams will complete the necessary background checks, register you with the programme training provider and obtain any personal information needed to begin your employment
Start
You'll then be ready to join us on your Apprenticeship programme
